reading room VUT footscray
completed in February of 2011, the reading room cafe (interior and furnishings designed by IF architecture, with custom furniture built by Alex Earl) is a new cafe in Victoria University of Technology. The furniture is built of Solid American oak, American Oak veneered plywood, solid blackbutt, steel and brass. The mix of materials lend the cafe a fin de siecle vibe which works well as a contrast to the stark modern building it sits in.
